| | 100 Hits - Classical - CD 4 | ] | * ESA Assessment Forgot to mention it last time, but my appointment for this was changed from the 9th to the 23rd of April. Yes, two weeks later. This is due to somebody being unavailable for some reason which I forget now. Would be ironic if they were off sick.
* Yeovilnet A few changes and tweaks here and there, but nothing major yet. I have though got it so that the Twitter updates page now auto refreshes every 10 minutes. This makes it rather more useful. |

| A right mixture of stuff |
[Apr. 10th, 2009|05:17 pm] |
* Malvern I was in Malvern from Friday 3 April - Wednesday 8 April. A great time was had by both me and Sslaxx. Much was done using telnet, ssh, and remote X apps. The Malvern LUG was held on the Tuesday, and this was at it's usual location of the Great Malvern Hotel. Great discussion on a wide variety of subjects, and being able to use my laptop on their free WiFi to ssh to Sslaxx's second computer was fantastic. I am now able to do ssh and use X via ssh on my main computer. Very handy.
* Attempted Break In Last night, some idiot tried to break into my porch whilst I was in the flat! He removed the rubber strips to try to get the window out, but they can not be removed from outside, unless you break them of course. He cracked the window with a screwdriver trying to extract it or the bottom rubber strip. The other three strips were on the ground. I caught him at it, but I was inside, and it's frosted glass. He legged it when he heard me unlock the door. A total idiot. I could hear him for a start. I called the Police, and took the rubber strips indoors, being careful how I handled them, so they could get finger prints from them. They couldn't come out last night, but today they took a statement from me, took the rubber strips for checking, and gave me a crime reference number so I can get it sorted with the housing association. Last night, I made sure I left it very hard to get into.
* Twitter I'm still making huge use of Twitter, and I can now email photos to TwitPic from my Nokia N80 phone. To do that, I set up Gmail on it. This will be very handy too.

[Mar. 29th, 2009|04:27 pm] |
Well, my back/neck still hurts. Not too bad though.
I've got my appointment for my assessment to do with my ESA. It's on the 9th April. |

| Various Stuff |
[Mar. 27th, 2009|10:37 pm] |
* ESA That was sorted with no problems, and it's been extended for another month. I had to fill out a questionnaire so I can be assessed.
* Malvern I was at Stu's from end of February to March. Did local pubs, Worcester, and Hereford. I've found that my Ricoh camera works perfectly. I got great photos, really good quality.
* Back I don't know what I've done, but earlier my back started hurting like mad. It's the top part of my back near my neck, and my right shoulder. If it's still like this on Monday I'm going to the doctors. |

Well, yesterday was 'interesting'. I was rather ill, and was puking up foul liquid. I was also aching all over. I spent the whole day in bed. I am mostly fine now though.
Hopefully I'll have the ESA sorted out soon. I've still not been paid what I am owed from the end of my JSA. More on this soon. |

| Update at last |
[Feb. 11th, 2009|08:58 pm] |
Ok, so what's happened since my last entry? Here we go:
* Something I forgot to mention about the Xmas period Me and Sslaxx went over to my parents'. We had dinner there. I had a lovely mushroom lasagne. I took a photo of it, and here it is:

* Great new phone I've now got a Nokia N80. The camera on it is great. It's going to be getting loads of use.
* Doctors I was seen by a Doctor on Friday, and I'm now back on the Fluoxetine. I'll be on them for six months at least. I got a sick note, and I'll be on the ESA for a month.
* Twitter I'd not used Twitter for over a year, but I'm now using it loads.

| At last, a new entry, and the first one of 2009 |
[Jan. 14th, 2009|01:56 am] |
* Xmas and New Year Due to the timing of my signing on dates, I was at Sslaxx's (Stu's) for longer than normal for Xmas and New Year. It was superb. I bought a load of stuff from Poundland, Woolworths, and charity shops. The close down of Woolworths really did produce a ton of bargains. I bought a Sony handheld cassette recorder and some blank tapes via Amazon, and some stuff off eBay whilst there.
* Router Due to Sslaxx's router replacement, I now own his Linksys wireless router. It's brilliant. It's great being able to go on the 'net using my laptop in bed.
* Yeovilnet and Yeovilboard Yeovilnet has had some updates, but the main thing is the new Yeovilboard. It's way better than the old one.

| | Eighties CD 2 | ] | Greetings to anybody that happens to be reading this. It's another one of my blog entries, and here we go with various random stuff:
* Woolworths I actually went in there on Thursday. I bought a 3 CD box set called 'Eighties', and as you can probably guess, it's a compilation of 80s music. Nice. A bargain at £3.
* Food I'm in the rare situation where I actually have a load of food in. I've been stocking up, and making sure I have plenty in that will last some time.
* iTunes I've recently been purchasing a few songs, and I've been importing some of my classical CDs.
Not the most gripping of entries I know. |

| Update |
[Dec. 2nd, 2008|11:28 pm] |
I'm trying out the newest version of the Flock browser. I'm posting this entry using Flock's blog editor.
Things have been going fine. I've been doing creative purchasing on eBay, and it could soon get to the stage where things are arriving nearly every day. Feel free to ask about what I've bought.
Earlier I unwrapped and opened the box to my Wyse WY-60 terminal, and did a quick visual check of it. It looks as good as new. Also it turns out that the original customer was Apricot Computers PLC. Once I have the space, I'll be able to test it out.
Yeovilnet has now broken through the 5000 unique hits barrier. It's been getting a load of traffic due to this article, and me doing a bit of online advertising because of it:

| A long overdue update |
[Nov. 25th, 2008|05:17 pm] |
Before I headed back to Mansfield from Malvern, I went in the local pub. This was great until some CUNT came in with a dead duck for somebody! WTF?
I got back just in time to see the switch on of Mansfield's Xmas lights, which I had forgot all about (and didn't give a shit about either). The best thing about it was seeing the inflatable stage cover again.
Of course, my first point of call was the Court House pub.
-
The bollocks to do with my housing benefit, which has been going on for ages now, is kind of sorted. Also, I got my Virgin Media services back on. Those were restored on Thursday 20 November. I don't normally get that behind with my bill. Since the return of Yeovilnet on that day, I've been get quite a lot of hits.
More next time... |
